Other Services

Curbside Service

The Pines & Plains libraries offer curbside service for patrons who would prefer to not come into the library. To access this service, place library items on hold through our website catalog.  When your items are available you will received an email or phone call that you may pick the items up. When you arrive at the library, simply call the library’s main phone number – 303-646-3416.  A staff member will check your items out to your account and bring them out to your car.

Used Books Room

The Friends of the Library offer used books for patrons to purchase.  Feel free to browse and purchase books in the used book room, located in the meeting room of the Elizabeth library.  The Friends also sponsor a used book sale once a year to support the library.

Elizabeth Library meeting room

The Pines & Plains Library District provides a meeting room for public use a the Elizabeth Branch Library. The Elbert, Kiowa and Simla branch libraries currently do not have meeting rooms available. The Library adheres to the Library Bill of Rights and makes its meeting room and facilities available to the public on an equitable basis, regardless of the beliefs or affiliations of individuals or groups requesting its use. Use of the meeting room or facilities by any group or organization does not constitute an endorsement by the Library Board of the group’s policies or beliefs.  No fees are charged for:

  • Library sponsored activities
  • Nonprofit and community group meetings
  • Government meetings

A fee of $15.00 per hour is charged for: 

  • Meetings of profit-making groups, individuals or businesses
  • Fund-raising events
  • Meetings requirement payment of tuition or fees
  • Programs held by professionals such as attorneys, real estate agents, etc. that often result in business referrals
  • Social functions such as, but not limited to, showers, anniversaries, funerals, and weddings.

Reservations may be made in person at the Administrative Office at the Elizabeth Branch Library or by calling the District Office.  For further information, please contact the Elizabeth Branch Library.

Study Room

The Elizabeth branch offers a small study room for patrons to reserve.  The policies for using this room follow the same policies of the large meeting room.
