Tabletop Gaming @ Kiowa Library – Thursday 7/13 @ 6pm

JOIN US IN KIOWA THIS THURSDAY FOR OUR VERY FIRST TABLETOP NIGHT! 7/13 @6pm

*Ages 12 and up: TEENS AND ADULTS WELCOME!  This will be a time where Teen Game Night won’t be restricted to teens, so if you have a desire to join us on these RPG campaigns, stop in Thursday evening!

*This campaign will begin 7/13/2017.  If you have interest in joining us, please contact dmiller@pplibraries.org or rfigueroa@pplibraries.org for a character sheet and game information.  You do not have to be present every meeting or even the first one, you can be worked into the story at any time!

*You don’t have to have any knowledge of tabletop games or role-playing, we’ll help you through it, or you’re welcome to observe if you’d rather experience the story unfolding from a back seat.

*Meetings are currently slated for once a month, the 2nd Thursday of each month.  You don’t need to be able to make it every month, just come when you can.

This first campaign will be Big Eyes Small Mouth (Revised 2nd Edition), set in an age of space discovery with a Sci-Fi Theme.  This game is inspired by the wide variety of Japanese anime topics and mayhem, and as such is a more open-ended creation and customization of characters.

Mondays @ Kiowa: games and anime!

Join us in Kiowa the first Monday of each month from 6p-8p, and branch out in cultural storytelling and understanding.  Anime Night will take place after we close, and will be 

We will gather to discuss various manga (Japanese comic books), and then take some time to view a variety of anime (animation).  Our selection will be guided by YOU, so come join us on Monday June 5th for our FIRST EVER MEETING!

 

Drop in and join us Mondays any time between 3:30 – 5:30pm, for Game Night.

Bring your own board, video, or table top games you’d like to play with others.  Card games such as Pokemon TCG, Magic: The Gathering, and Yu-Gi-Oh are also allowed; as there is interest we may make specific nights for fellow fans to gather.

February and March we had our Retro Game Night going, thanks to everyone who came to experience these links to the past via the NES system.  Stay tuned for more retro games in the future!

Teen Game Night in Kiowa: Thursdays 6-8pm

July’s Tournament: Minecraft for Xbox One. Thursday 7/27 @ 6pm

Be unleashed upon the world and let your creativity and power be shown.  Players will be put in opposite corners of the map and allowed to build up defenses before making an attempt to conquer their foes!

Teen Game Night will hold monthly tournaments, the last Thursday of each month.  Sign-up at the Kiowa Library desk to participate.  You must be signed-up by the start of tournament games to participate.  Tournament will start shortly after 6, so get in by 6:15.

Congratulations to Jose, our third game tournament winner in Halo: Master Chief Collection.  He rose to the challenges of each game and emerged with a masterful victory.

 

Congratulations to Annie, our second game tournament winner in Mortal Kombat X.  She raised the game to an intense level through the support of her fans as Kitana.

 

What is Teen Game Night?  A time just for teens (11-19), EVERY Thursday 6 – 8pm.  Gather to play TCG, Tabletop, and/or Video games.

You’re welcome to bring your own systems, controllers, games, etc.

Games that are up to and including Rated M can be played at the library during this time, make sure you have your parents’ permission to join us for games like Halo, COD, MKX, FNAF, and more!
